R.I.P Terri

Well she's gone. Now nearly everyone is saying "thank God it's over, now I can forget about it". Can you?

This all wasn't just about one woman in one state. This was about so much more.

1. A judge decided what hear-say evidence he would consider and what evidence he would not. There was plenty of evidence that Terri wouldn't want death. Even more that she was wanting a divorce and had said so the day of her 'accident'.

2. That same judge then signed her 'death warrant'.

3. Appeals judges never looked at the evidence, or lack of. They just ruled on the first judges procedures. The 'finding of fact' was never reviewed to establish the facts as correct. They were automatically assumed fact.

4. Congress and the President stepped in (as they would for any convicted criminal on death row) only to have Judges thumb their noses at them and ignore the order. This order was "de novo", an order to review the evidence anew. This was NOT done at all. The courts have now become more powerful than the Executive and Legislative branches. So much for "3 seperate but equal" branches.

5. 'right to die' ? What about a right to live?

6. Social security and Medicade are near bankrupcy.

7. Many elderly are in nursing homes today sustained by feeding tubes being paid S.S. and Medicade benefits. Are they next?

8. Everywhere you turn a feeding tube is now being called 'artificial life support'. Does that mean that eating and drinking at home or at the resturant is also artificial life support? Aren't we ALL then on 'artificial life support'?

9. Does that mean that food stamps is actually a government benefit to provide 'artificial life support'?

10. A man who is common law married to another woman, has children with her, and would benefit on his 'wifes' death now has the say if she lives or dies. Is this a conflict of interest? Apparently not.

11. Terri died of starvation and dehydration. This is something even the most violent criminals would never have to go through. It is simply INHUMANE!

12. A man was booted out of the military the same day by the same government. He gave a mercy killing to a man dying in agony at the same time a woman died by agony imposed on her by the courts. HYPOCRACY 101.

13. Kevorkian sits in prison for doing the same thing for people that were dying, as the gonvernment has done to a woman who was NOT terminally ill. Again HYPOCRACY 101.

14. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." So much for Life. Is Liberty next?
